The Mount Batten Centre
is the South West UK’s premier Watersports facility and one
of the region’s most spectacular waterfront venues. The city
of Plymouth is just a few minutes away by water-taxi, with
the famous Plymouth Hoe, the historic Barbican, cinemas,
restaurants, swimming pools, ice skating rink, theatres and
modern shopping centre all within walking distance. Frequent
buses also run between the Mount Batten Centre and the city
centre.
The Mount Batten
Centre stands on the side of the Cattewater, looking across
the river towards Sutton Harbour and Queen Anne’s Battery
Marina, home of the OSTAR and Round Britain
races.
The centre has good
disabled access and facilities, ample parking, a waterside
terrace and bars with extensive bar menus. Several of the
multihulls featured in the symposium will be moored
alongside the Centre’s 100 metre pontoon.
