Cockpit trial assembly on floor. 3 boxes and two trays, engine pit in port box.
Cockpit placed in boat, view from underneath. Engine pit in port box. Engine to be tilted opposite from usual manner.
Outboard motor in lowered position. See lifting bracket and blocking mechanism, a sliding nylon stopper to be placed in hardwood holders Motor tilting mechanism , seen from above. Small lid at right for this pit still not mounted in place. Motor is under larger lid, note rope hinges. Lifted motor in cockpit box, lids not in place.
Note that shaft lifts towards the bow, with prop facing down. Lid on top of motor has to be opened only for starting, as long as no electric starter is available. Controls will be remote, bolted to cockpit side. Two tanks fit inside box, in front of bulkhead. Note scuppers and free space on top for passing fuel hose and for ventilation.
