This shows how the Mainmast fits into a channel in the back of the pod to rest on the integral mast beam. Cockpit with higher seat fitted for helm. Back view showing drive leg, later changed to a longer leg mounted higher. Shows the later concept of a much higher base to the unit to keep clear of waves. There is standing headroom under the mainsail so a Bimini can be mounted. This is something I thought about, taking a long cabin from the height of the cabin top at the back right through to the bow. I don't think it would add any windage and would be a lot more roomy inside. Shows how it fits on the deck layout. The pod has room inside for a dinette/double berth. The pod and cockpit sit between beams 2 & 4. Beam 3 is integral into the back of the pod. This shows the original concept with a low slung nacelle. The front and top of the cabin have the same slope as the side cabins. Drive leg from underneath with leg down. Drive leg from underneath with leg up.
