after port quarter showing swim ladder which is half of a loft ladder from B&Q. after starboard quarter showing mounting for Mabel, our auto helm. side benches made from walnut gratings.
we thought long and hard about a pod but decided we still wanted an open boat, so the front bench hinges up and is held by struts. a waterproof nylon spray hood rolls out and is supported on an alloy frame.
we house our anchor rode in this box which also comes from IKEA.
nav area in starboard hull, showing handheld VHF and Magellan GPS on a long lead which can be taken out into the cockpit
These were originally tables from IKEA and are very cheap and relatively light. Soaked once a year in Cuprinol they seem to be lasting OK. The frame beneath is the other half of the swim ladder. All bits from Pointnorth. The finished product is part pod and part cuddy so has been christened the poddy.
I think it was meant to be a laundry basket. The original was much taller but can be sized to suit.
