Cynthia and Jean-Paul (username: CYMJPL) started in 2004 to build a Tiki 46 in their backyard, 30 Km south-east of Brussels, Belgium. The starboard hull is now completed. Launch is foreseen for 2008. The next day, we had the chance to sail on PHA. Marie-Helene was unfortunately not able to sail with us because she sprained her ankle a few weeks ago. At first sight the number of sheets, halyards and downhauls make things incredibly complex. In fact after a few reefing exercises, we both had to admit it is very simple and easy to handle. This was a sunny November day; with 20 knots of wind but flat seas we reached easily 10 knots. Our general conclusion: the Swing Wing rig is indeed very efficient and easy to handle. It is also beautiful. This is no longer a dream but our preferred option.
