Here is my "temporary" swim ladder. I say temporary because I may build one of teak and ipe! I have the teak, and ipe would be cheaper for the slats. It would be heavier, but I really like the idea of a "ramp" style boarding device rather than a ladder. It's 1 1/2" pvc with rubber rigging tape wrapped on the rungs for traction.
